To stimulate the children and continue to ‘provide learning with extra SPARKLE’ at Harrington the use of the interactive floor assists other interventions to diminish the difference and further support children to achieve age expected and be ‘school ready’.

The floor combines movement and learning and is highly motivating for all children to access, especially those with low level physical skills. It engages the children who find it difficult to sit still and concentrate, and brings movement indoors whilst interacting with images focussing on the outside.

Integrex have been an integral partner in helping us to create our vision of a technology-rich teaching and learning environment. They have worked closely with us to create immersive learning spaces and were very helpful in transforming our vision into a reality. The VisiLift + have been a significant addition to many classes across the school, allowing many children access to technology that was previously not available.

The look on my students’ faces when they realise that the movement of their hand or foot on the interactive floor has created these effects is wonderful.

Hesten Wellbeing Hub

The customers who come to Hesten have Profound and complex needs and the Integrex screen supports our customers in developing their communication, memory, dexterity.

We also use this a sensory piece of equipment, proving lighting, tranquil music and therapeutic interactions such as the rippling water, due to its versatility with is positioning it can be used for customers in their wheelchair, on the floor, in a bed, it can also be placed flat as a table and flat overhead to reach out to.

The products have been fantastic and have met the very complex needs of the pupils within the school.

Unlike other interactive boards the Visilift plasma boards allow pupils to access them within centimetres of their body and at a height which can be adjusted to their needs. Also the tilt function allows pupils with complex needs such as visual impairments to view the screen at an appropriate angle. Some of our pupils with complex needs of upper limbs have also been able to control the board with their feet due to the flexibility of the boards.

The SENse has allowed the pupils to have interactive sensory experiences within their classrooms without having to confine them to a sensory room for their learning. The SENse can be flexible to project on the floor, the pupils’ trays as well as white sheets laid over the pupils.

Time is Precious kindly donated the floor and ceiling projection system that responds to body movements when detected by an overhead camera. The interactive unit helps to create a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for children and their families while in hospital.

I do not have the words to describe how utterly fantastic this is! The children love it, as do all the adults, young and old. Children of all ages cannot resist is because it is so responsive. Honestly, I can't tell you how delighted we are with it. We have not switched it off since the minute it arrived.

I love it because it helps us assess so many things about children – their coordination, which we have to assess after a bang to the head and whether they can weight bear on their legs. We're also using it to calm adults with special needs – it is so versatile.

We have been using the Immersive room funded by arts council England during our dementia café sessions for people who have dementia and their carers.

Customer A told me that it's the best thing he has ever been in, he has had a diagnosis of dementia for some time now and although very high functioning and managing well, he is struggling to control his temper and becomes very agitated. He told me that the minute he walks into the room and sits down he feels all the anger and irritation start to flow out of him. He says he can't explain what it is about the room but when in there the images and the sounds just completely empty his head and that is all he concentrates on. He then told me that the room definitely gets 10 out of 10.

It's brilliant.
