Back in 2019, we installed this sensory room, and recently we were delighted to return to refresh and enhance the space with some new features.
The updated room now includes:
⭐ An Infinity Panel to add depth, colour and visual interest 🦶 Vibrating floor padding to introduce tactile and sensory feedback 🖐️ A UV tactile panel for an engaging hands-on experience ✨ A star ceiling to create a calming and immersive atmosphere
It’s fantastic to see a space we created several years ago being updated to meet the changing needs of its users.
Rather than starting from scratch, refreshing an existing sensory room can be a great way to extend the life of the space while introducing new sensory experiences and features.

Over the summer, we were delighted to design and install two bespoke sensory and activity rooms at an academy in Potters Bar, creating two spaces with different purposes while giving pupils opportunities to explore, move, interact and relax.
🌈 Sensory Room Designed as a calming and engaging environment, the sensory room features:
The combination of interactive equipment, lighting and tactile features allows the space to be adapted to suit different activities and individual needs.
🏃 Movement & Activity Room The second room was designed to encourage movement, physical development and active play, featuring:
• Soft padded walls and flooring • Vault box • Steps and balance beam • Slide • Steps and tunnel
From climbing and balancing to crawling and sliding, the space provides a safe and supportive environment where pupils can develop movement, coordination and confidence.
A huge thank you to the academy for choosing Integrex to create these two spaces. We loved seeing the project come together and hope they provide many years of enjoyment, learning and positive experiences for the pupils. 💙
